Teaching/Learning Audit

Yorkeys Knob State School have worked through a Teaching/Learning Audit process during Term Two.   This audit looks at eight key areas of work in the school including curriculum planning, pedagogy (teaching) and assessment/reporting.

During the audit we also examined the school culture of learning, the improvement agenda and the engagement of community.   An external auditor interviewed all staff and reported back to the school on affirmations of the things that we are doing well and he also made recommendations on areas where we can focus our improvement.

We will use the report and response as the starting point for a quadrennial school review (QSR) later in the year.   Parent input will be sought as part of that process.   Out of that QSR we will then develop a pedagogical framework and a community engagement action plan.

To find out more about the Teaching and Learning Audit you can download and read the Parent and Carers' Factsheet (PDF, 265KB)

The Executive Summary (PDF, 115KB) and Yorkeys Knob State School 8 page profile (PDF, 267KB) prepared by the external auditor includes Yorkeys Knob State School's commendations, affirmations and recommendations.

From these documents, the school staff have developed the Yorkeys Knob State School Plan (DOCX, 122KB).
